Kenny to deliver €12m centre to home town

Castlebar Tennis Club in the Taoiseach’s hometown may soon have some sporting competition.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has promised that a long-delayed €12 million “national outdoor pursuits centre” will be delivered for his home town of Castlebar.

It is due to contain a 25-metre swimming pool, a running track, an outdoor pursuits facility and several full-sized playing pitches.
