Kenny awaits Knock Airport audit results ahead of bailout

Taoiseach Enda Kenny is awaiting the results of an audit into the planned €7 million bailout of Ireland West Airport Knock to free it of debt.

Deloitte is carrying out a due diligence exercise on the books of the airport, which is hoping to offload its debt to six local councils in return for a 17.5 per cent stake in its operations. These councils include Mayo county council, as well as councils in Galway, Sligo,...
