Minister for the Environment Alan Kelly is going to bring forward compromise proposals to address the housing crisis after his rent certainty plans were shot down by Minister for Finance Michael Noonan.

There is widespread acceptance in the coalition that Kelly’s demands for rent increases to be limited to the consumer price index for up to four years will not be met.
