Alliance will not make new demands but will push for speedier progress on elements of programme for government

The Independent Alliance will demand that Leo Varadkar commit to delivering on a number of key policies before the summer recess in return for their support.

The new Fine Gael leader will hold talks with IA ministers Shane Ross, Finian McGrath, John Halligan, Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran and new backbencher Sean Canney early this week.
