Full steam ahead for the economy, Noonan tells cabinet colleagues
Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has told his cabinet colleagues that the public finances are performing even better than he thought on Budget Day.
The October exchequer figures, allied to early indications of tax receipts for November, suggest that the end of year position will be better than budget day projections, with the deficit coming in at less than 2 per cent of GDP.
