A Kilkenny councillor who quit Fianna Fáil for Renua in acrimonious circumstances last year is seeking a return to the party.

Patrick McKee left Fianna Fáil in March 2015 and heavily criticised the party for failing to reform itself after the financial crash. He joined the fledgling Renua and subsequently ran in the by-election won by Fianna Fáil’s Bobby Aylward.
