Fianna Fáil was feeling the heat from Sinn Féin last week over its current policy to suspend water charges.

It was no surprise that Sinn Féin would bring a motion to scrap water charges very early in the lifetime of the new government. And its TDs positively delighted in reminding Fianna Fáil that its manifesto had pledged four times to “abolish” them.
