Fianna Fáil members in Dublin Central have approached the Social Democrat councillor Gary Gannon to ask if he would join the party ahead of the next general election.

The former Social Democrat co-leader Stephen Donnelly, who joined Fianna Fáil in February, said Gannon would be a great fit for his new party. “I’d love him to join Fianna Fáil. I think he’d be a phenomenal asset,” he said....
