The final tally showed that she had 24 per cent of the first preference votes in the three-seat constituency once dominated by Ahern and his “Drumcondra Mafia”.

“Our activists here will tell you that the support for Sinn Féin has grown and grown and will grow yet. Because we’re only getting warmed up,” she said.
