Fine Gael’s European election candidate Mark Durkan has said he is not going to “waste time” defending the party.
The former SDLP leader also refused to endorse Fine Gael’s tax cut pledge, acknowledged the party had not built enough social houses and, in a further departure from government policy, called on Karen Bradley to resign as Northern Ireland secretary.
