Donohoe fights Ross on property tax exemption for pensioners

Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has signalled his opposition to Minister for Transport Shane Ross’s request to exempt pensioners from the property tax at a cost of €75 million.

The government has postponed the revaluation of homes for the property tax for a further year, with opposition from Ross and the Independent Alliance playing a key role.
