Donegal mayor defends €41k grant for revamp of driveway to his own house

The Fianna Fáil mayor of Donegal benefited from a €41,000 county council grant to build a driveway up to his house after an application was submitted in his mother’s name.

Councillor Seamus O’Domhnaill insisted he had done nothing wrong after his mother, Kathleen O’Donnell, who lives at a different address, successfully applied for the grant in 2017.
