Denis Naughten to launch renewable energy support scheme

The scheme is anticipated to apply to both offshore wind and solar energy

Energy minister Denis Naughten will publish next month details of a price support scheme for renewable energy that should unlock billions of euro in investment, The Sunday Business Post has learned.

Naughten, who has sought to move the focus of Ireland’s renewable energy industry away from increasingly-controversial reliance on onshore wind, will tell an energy conference next month that details of the new support scheme will come in July.
