Former Green Party TD and senator Dan Boyle looks set to make a return to politics.

In a trend reflective of the national picture, the local election candidate looks certain to take a seat in the Cork City South Central ward. Tally figures show him sitting comfortably behind the poll-topper, independent Mick Finn, the current Lord Mayor of Cork city.
