Public relations experts have called for a halt to ex-politicians’ “privileged access” to Leinster House.

Under current rules, former TDs and senators are able to walk in and out of Leinster House without any of the restrictions that apply to members of the general public.

But public relations professionals who are trying to get in contact with ministers and TDs have to ask an existing TD or Senator to sign them in...
