Burlington Real Estate gets private equity backing

A property fund run by former executives of Johnny Ronan’s Treasury Holdings is lining up a bid for a €115 million portfolio of regional shopping centres with the backing of an anonymous international private equity fund.

Burlington Real Estate has secured the backing of the international outfit which will allow it to proceed with purchases without tapping international money markets as it had originally planned, it is understood.

The backer could be called into action to back up a bid for the portfolio of six shopping centres located around the country, including the Orwell shopping centre in Templeogue, Dublin 6W.
