Blow to social housing plan as PPP element grinds to halt

The government’s plans to tackle the dearth of social housing have been dealt a blow as plans for cooperation with private developers are on hold.

Investment firms, banks and big name developers were recruited by the government to propose ways to resolve the social housing crisis.

But last Tuesday, in a letter seen by The Sunday Business Post, they were told that “no suitable proposal” had emerged.
