Absentee Crowley faces challenge for MEP nomination

17th June, 2018

A new Fianna Fáil member is to challenge absentee MEP Brian Crowley for the party nomination for the European elections.

Crowley has not attended any votes or debates in the European Parliament since he was re-elected in May 2014 for the Ireland South constituency due to illness.

He still has not told the party if he intends to run again in the European Elections in May next year.
