We ‘grille’ the updated BMW 7 Series

Some won’t like the new look. But if you take the road less travelled it’s still one of the best luxury saloons on the market

The BMW 7 Series now has more visual authority than before, all the better to obviously separate it from the 5 Series beneath it in the hierarchy

The most talked about aspect of the updated BMW 7 Series is its front-end design. Specifically, the adoption of a huge new ‘kidney’ radiator grille that certainly gives the range-topping luxury car more presence (as its target buyers requested), but has seemingly attracted more vocal opponents than advocates.

I can confirm that it looks better in real life, where you appreciate the higher bonnet line and more upright ‘air breathers’ aft of the front...
