Couture: a word bandied about; a catch-all for particularly expensive fashion. Thing is, the term ‘couture’, as you know, may only be applied to made-to-measure clothing. If any further clarification were needed: it is not couture unless it has been designed to an individual client’s specific requirements and measurements.
