Cline Cellars was founded in the early 1970s by Fred Cline, the grandson of the Valeriano Jacuzzi, the inventor of the bubbly spa tub that bears his name. With his wife Nancy, Fred planted Zinfandel and some Rhône varietals rather than fashionable and flashy cabernet sauvignon. Their Cline Zinfandel is stunning, quite Pomerol-like, silky, luscious, but not soft or jammy. At this price, it is a must-try wine.
