Mitchell & Son has been selling wines from Tokaji since the 19th century when the region was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire. All during that time, the famed sweet wines dominated. However, for local consumption, dry wines were also made from furmint, the grape from which sweet Tokaji was made. We can taste it today at prices that reflect its undervalued pleasure.
