This release is from the newly-opened Pearse Lyons Distillery, situated opposite the giant St James’s Gate Guinness Brewery in Dublin 8. With Teelings in Haymarket in the Liberties, and Roe & Co being built in the former Guinness Power Station on James’s Street, Dublin is back as a distillery power. The whiskey here is super-smooth, very rich and caramel like in taste, but pale and youthful-looking. It has a real feel of a Kentucky bourbon....
