Crémant is the legal term for sparkling wine in France, not from Champagne. This superb Alsace example is made identically to Champagne, but with regional pinot blanc joining the pinot noir and meunier. It is superbly textured, lean initially and crisp at the finish, with a cool green apple crunch mid-palate. Delicious and well-priced.
