Blood in the Dirt, a new play by screenwriter, novelist and playwright Rory Gleeson, begins previews next Wednesday at the New Theatre, Temple Bar. Based on the true story of Big Jim Donnelly who moved from Ireland to Canada in 1845 and laid claim to land, the play, directed by Caitríona McLaughlin, features music composed by Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh of the Gloaming and actor Lorcan Cranitch (left).
