Gavin McEntee is finding fresh and immersive ways to present theatre to Irish audiences, exemplified by his new production NEON Western, writes Nadine O’Regan

‘It’s a very Fringe-type show,” says Gavin McEntee. “It would be hard for a programmer to place it in a middle of the road-type theatre festival. It fits the Fringe better.”

Listening to McEntee, a 37-year-old Dublin theatre director, describe his latest production, NEON Western, which will be performed at the Dublin Fringe Festival in September, you can’t help but agree with his analysis.
