The new Honda NSX: the engineering involved is extraordinary

Introduced in 1990, the Honda NSX was a brave new model from a mainstream manufacturer more associated with producing saloons and hatchbacks than mid-engined, lightweight sports cars.

At its core though, Honda is very much dominated by the pride in its engineering; it takes an almost perverse pleasure in doing things its own way and the original NSX (standing for New Sports eXperimental) underlined that.
