The minimalist

A neutral colour palette can provide the perfect backdrop to polished finishes and striking art, grounding a home in cool grey and soft white. This south Dublin residential project by Gwen Kenny, interior design director at Divine Design, is a case in point. Here, she explains her brief and the secrets of the design process

We had a brief of creating a bright, open-plan kitchen, with an island suitable for both entertaining and for family living. This kitchen was custom-made by our in-house joinery team with plenty of fine finishing and decorative wood detail. The bespoke solid oak cabinets were hand painted in a mid-grey.
