The ever-expanding Irish whiskey crew assembled last week at the Old Jameson Distillery for the Irish Whiskey Awards 2017. These awards were willed into being half a decade ago by Ally Alpine, one of a handful of the early evangelists for what is now not merely a renaissance of Irish whiskey, but a national re-engagement with a huge part of our lost history.
