Francis Brennan has recently returned from a three-week stint driving Route 66. It was a rare break for a self-confessed workaholic. It is testament to the famous hotelier-turned-tv personality and author (two books down, with another on the way), and to his appeal that most people, myself included, would want to have been a fly on the wall on that trip. His buzzing energy and his utter divilment and enjoyment of life is a winning combination.
