The bittersweet tale of Ziegfeld Follies star Fanny Brice (Barbra Streisand) and her often-troubled relationship with gambler and entrepreneur Nicky Arnstein (Omar Sharif) was a whopping hit when William Wyler took it to the screen 50 years ago in 1968. This is a film of the stage musical, with Sheridan Smith as Brice in an acclaimed production that became a smash West End hit.
