Roof down, numbers up for McLaren

McLaren said it would build just 500 675LTs, which it did, but the 675LT Spider allows 500 more, with the roof down

The new McLaren 675LT Spider’s ability to shrug off the tarmac’s many imperfections is little short of breathtaking

McLaren went to a lot of effort to create the 675LT coupe, a lighter, slightly longer, aerodynamically enhanced version of its already ludicrously quick and capable 650S model. A limited production run of just 500 cars and the LT name were clear references back to McLaren’s ‘Longtail’ evolution version of its iconic F1 supercar of 1997, ensuring every one was sold as quickly as the car itself reaches 100km/h.
