One of the many irritations that Portuguese wine producers suffer from is being collectively referred to as Europe’s ‘New World’, Europe’s ‘New Frontier’, or worse, the next great source of wine. For us, that would be akin to a critic reading a novel by an up-and-coming Irish writer and then suggesting that Ireland could be the latest force in literature.
