With a 5.8 per cent ABV, Wood Quay has opted to go outside the session market with The Pilgrim, but the end result is still gentle enough going down.

There’s a nutty aroma and a taste of orange peel, caramel, and raisins. Its slight bitterness means that it works as an all-year-round beer.
