On the Bog of Cats, nobody gets more than one life. The tormented Traveller woman Hester Swane (Susan Lynch) enters this bleak landscape carrying the corpse of a black swan, which she declares has been one of her best friends since childhood. The next person she encounters is a moustachioed singing cowboy, who announces himself as the Ghost Fancier (David Shannon) and warns that she too should prepare to meet her maker.
