Monteverdi’s Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda will be performed at the Smock Alley Theatre next weekend

Two baroque operas of historical importance have been chosen by DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama to highlight aspiring talent in its ranks at Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin on January 18 and 19. This venue is appropriate, as its very name rings down through history as one of the great providers of opera in its formative years in Dublin.
