Don’t Mercedes-Benz’s product planners ski? They must not, otherwise they would have filled the off-road estate niche years ago. Audi and Volvo have been doing it forever, as Audi’s allroad quattro and Volvo’s Cross Country models litter car parks in alpine resorts, the combination of four-wheel drive, body-protecting add-ons and a slightly raised ride height evidently appealing to alpinists.
