Jenkins sees her Carmen wish comes true
They say mums-to-be develop great longings for strange things - and that seems to be the case for Katherine Jenkins.
The 35-year-old Welsh songstress, due to give birth this autumn, had a craving to perform Carmen. And guess what? Her wish is coming true.
The singer has never performed in a full opera, but she is to play the troublesome gypsy siren in a fully orchestrated concert production of Bizet’s masterpiece at the Eisteddfod festival in Llangollen next July.
As well as Carmen, she also has another rather important item on her 2016 schedule.
