Irish film industry celebrates after securing four Golden Globe nominations

Saoirse Ronan and Michael Fassbender are among the shortlist

The Irish film industry is celebrating after picking up a clutch of Golden Globe nominations.

Irish Film Board supported productions secured four nominations – Lenny Abrahamson’s Room was nominated for Best Motion Picture, while Room’s Brie Larson and Brooklyn’s Saoirse Ronan were both nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture. Emma Donoghue was nominated for Best Screenplay for Room which she adapted from her own award-winning book....
