Irish composer lands €35,000 Munich prize

Offaly-born composer Ann Cleare is the recipient of a €35,000 prize as one of Europe’s most promising contemporary music composers. Cleare is assistant professor of music and media technologies at TCD.

The award comes from the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation of Munich, which allocated over €3.5 million this year to 140 new music projects in more than 20 countries worldwide.
