Should Irish motorists consider winter tyres? The short answer is ‘probably not’, but it’s still worth weighing up the pros and cons before you make up your own mind.
I’ve just come in from watching my son at GAA practice and my numb fingers and toes can attest to the fact that the temperature this evening dropped below five degrees Celsius. As I stood there hopping from one foot to the other to try to warm up, I realised that nobody has yet asked me about winter tyres.
I think we’re all still secretly hoping for a really late Indian summer. But...
