Foreword by President Michael D Higgins

A tribute to Vincent Browne

30th July, 2017

Vincent Browne has made a most valuable contribution to Irish journalism, taking on issues of inequality, exclusion, maladministration and public indifference. It is so important that his contribution is being recognised.

Who can forget the pioneering work with Declan Burke-Kennedy on poverty, with the marvellous black and white photos of Fergus Bourke?

Vincent was fearless, moving easily through savage Swiftian indignation to merciless destruction of pomposity.
