John Cleese was once asked to name which of his comic masterpieces he would rescue from a house on fire. “Oh, I’d let it all burn,” replied the star of Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers and A Fish Called Wanda. “I actually don’t feel any of it’s very important . . . none of it matters to me very much.”
