Elder care in Ireland: An age-old question

Looking after an elderly parent is not the same as caring for a child, as Britain’s minister for care suggests

It appears that practically everyone in Britain who isn’t talking about Brexit or Donald Trump is currently talking about elderly care.

This is for a number of reasons, the biggest being that David Mowat, Britain’s charmingly titled “minister for care”, recently expressed the view that he cannot understand why we don’t all approach the needs of our elders as we do those of our children.
