Self-taught artist and woodturner Emmet Kane creates thin-walled hollow forms in native hardwoods, especially Irish oak, which he textures and ebonises, gilds and colours. Born and raised in Castledermot, Co Kildare, Kane comes from five generations of master craftsmen.
