By the 1970s, the Snowball had transformed into the frothy result of lemonade and advocaat – a Dutch brandy and egg yolk creation.
Then, in 2001, mixologist Simon Difford created yet another version of the drink. He substituted Champagne for the lemonade and added lime cordial instead of juice. The addition of fino sherry was his killer move....
