The 24th Bray Rapid had 60 participants and was won for the second consecutive year by Ireland’s latest IM, David Fitzsimons. David scored 6.5/7, beating your author in the process, but my ego would be less bruised by showing a game from round 6 which I won by using some standard tactical ideas in an Isolated Queen’s Pawn (IQP) structure.
