One of the highlights of the recent Olympiad in Baku was the participation of World Champion Magnus Carlsen, who will defend his title against the Russian challenger, Sergey Karjakin, in New York this November.

Carlsen’s five wins and five draws helped the Norwegian team to an excellent fifth place finish, comfortably surpassing their 12th place seeding.
