The Pavel Haas Quartet will perform in the National Botanic Gardens on June 12 as part of the Great Music in Irish Houses Festival

The Great Music in Irish Houses Festival has been the flagship centrepiece of chamber music in the greater Dublin region for nearly half a century. Not specifically under that title, however, as quite recently, the organisers flipped the emphasis of the original name so as to expand programming options.

This was a daring move – and possibly a risky one – but it has worked a treat and added an oomph factor to a festival...
