The young cowboy peers out from under his Stetson at a colossal bull that is goring the steel bars of its holding pen behind the sprawling Rodeo stadium. Handsome in his rodeo uniform of brightly checked shirt, buckskin waistcoat and matching fringed chaps, he slouches across to a bench and kneels to pray.
All too soon, man and bull are united. To roars of “yahoo” from tens of thousands of spectators, the chute swings open....
